ISS was founded in 1989 and represents the large yacht industry. Our mission is delivered by building alliances worldwide with regional and functional associations; to serve as a communications conduit for issues affecting the marketplace, owners, crew and industry members; and to recognise achievement as well as provide educational opportunities and networking events.
These are the organizations within the industry working to make it a more viable and responsible market place. By joining and donating the industry helps itself grow the market size and professionalism. Long gone are the days of pirates and salty seaman, the marine industry at large is vibrant and providing opportunities across the world.
MARINE INDUSTRIES ASSOCIATION OF SOUTH FLORIDA
The Marine Industries Association of South Florida (MIASF) is the largest marine trade organization in the Southeast United States dedicated to promoting, protecting, and growing the 110,000 middle class jobs in Broward County and 136,000 jobs regionally in marine businesses promoting boating lifestyles from family cruising and fishing to yachts and the goods and services that sustain them, driving the economic output to $8.8 billion in Broward County and $11.5 billion regionally.
M/V PACIFIC HOPE
The M/V Pacific Hope is a ship which demonstrates the love of Jesus Christ by providing medical care, construction and training to hurting people. Since 2013, the M/V Pacific Hope has helped meet the needs of people who are victims of natural disaster, isolation, poverty and disease with the purpose of sharing God's love and the gospel of Jesus Christ.
The INTERNATIONAL SEAKEEPERS SOCIETY
The International SeaKeepers Society was founded in 1998 by a small group of yacht owners who were alarmed by the deterioration of our natural environment. The organization’s initial focus was on the development and use of instrumentation on yachts to monitor marine conditions throughout the world’s oceans.
YACHT AID GLOBAL
YachtAid Global (YAG) coordinates the acquisition and delivery of humanitarian aid to coastal communities in need or impacted by natural disasters in collaboration with a global network of volunteers, vetted NGOs and disaster relief experts.
